In this document, the concept of life cycle analysis as a method of ecological assessment will be explained in detail in chapter 2 in order to introduce the proper discussion of the draft with regard to BioNachV and the methods used to determine the greenhouse gas emissions.
The considerations that follow will focus on the following topics:
- allocation methods for the consideration of co-products in chapter 3;
- land use change according to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) in chapter 4;
- discussion of the table “default values” from annex 2 of the draft, in chapter 5.
