UN Group blames rich countries for high food prices

A United Nations-backed bioenergy group said yesterday that rich nations' demand for biofuels is to blame for high food prices. Corrado Clini, chairman of the Global Bioenergy Partnership, said the high prices can be resolved without impacting biofuel development if rich countries work with developing nations to improve crop production and encourage the use of biofuels.
