Energy and climate change after the Bali Conference

26 Feb 08

The Bali Conference was expected to indicate guidelines and a “roadmap” for reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the commitment of those countries, USA, China and India among the others, that are not currently participating the Kyoto obligations. Bali’s final  outcomes were higly disappointing with respect to the lack of an agreement on firm targets neither for developed countries nor for emerging markets, as wished, in particular, by the European Union.
