Better together

03 May 10

Modern bioenergy offers immense opportunities for sustainable development and climate change mitigation but brings with it significant challenges. The European Union is not alone in recognising this dilemma and that many of bioenergy’s challenges have ramifications well beyond its borders. Especially when it comes to
questions of sustainability, international co-operation is essential for building consensus on how to measure success in bioenergy and building capacity to help implement successful solutions. Corrado Clini, GBEP Chair, explains how GBEP enables international collaboration and a global perspective on bioenergy
sustainability.
