| GBEP at EUSEW showcases the development opportunities of bioenergy
At the European Parliament in Brussels on 24 June, as part of EU Sustainable Energy Week 2013, GBEP and PANGEA organised the event “Ensuring Access to Sustainable Bioenergy Globally”. Along with representatives from GBEP and PANGEA, the event saw a mixture of speakers from both private and public sectors, to give a well-balanced, evidence-based forum in which sustainable bioenergy, and its opportunities and challenges, could be discussed.

The Global Renewable Energy Atlas initiative, operated by IRENA, means to respond to these crucial questions by providing a comprehensive information platform on the potential of renewable energy.
