Mini webinar on Activity Group 8: Impact of COVID-19 on advanced liquid biofuels sector

On 27 October 2020, AG8 hosted a mini webinar on the impact of COVID-19 on the advanced liquid biofuels sector.

Panelists included representatives from governments, international organisations and industry. They discussed the competing demands on biomass, and how we need to ensure efficient distribution of biomass for different uses. It was also noted that the flexibility of production of advanced biorefineries has been useful during this time of market shock. The sustainability of the biomass itself was also stressed, by using residues and waste that have limited other uses in order to reduce societal debate.
